What documents do I need for a shared accommodation permit?

The short answer
For the shared accommodation permit and DCD approval, we need: the title deed (owner) or the tenancy contract with the owner NOC (tenant); Emirates ID or passport; the affection plan or site plan; any existing drawings; photos of the rooms and facilities; and a trade licence if a company owns or operates the property. We survey the property and prepare the layout and fire safety drawings to the DM rules (Dubai Municipality circular, reported by Khaleej Times on 8 October 2026).

- 5 m² per person: Minimum bedroom area.
- One category: Individual or family, not mixed.
- DCD and DM: Both approvals are required.
