The Springs Pool Environmental NOC: Backwash and Drainage

The Springs pool environmental NOC comes from the Dubai Municipality Environment Department. It approves how the pool backwash is drained.

The short answer

Every villa pool in The Springs needs a pool environmental NOC from the Dubai Municipality Environment Department, alongside the Emaar NOC and the Dubai Municipality permit. It approves the backwash route: pool backwash manhole (PBM), then a gully trap, then the villa manhole. We prepare the drainage drawing and apply for it.

What we check first

  • Plot and setbacks: where an extension, pergola or pool can go on your plot.
  • Structure: walls, slabs, columns and foundations before any opening or new load.
  • Existing floor area: measured from the as-built plans, so the extension allowance is right.
  • Unapproved works: older changes are surveyed and approved before new works.

  • Photos of the villa and the area you want to change
  • Villa and plot number in The Springs
