Structural Checks · Loads

How do I know if my slab can take a new load?

A structural engineer checks the slab, beams and supports against the new load, such as a jacuzzi, tank, gym or heavy equipment.

The short answer

Only a structural check can tell you. Structural Solutions reviews the existing drawings or inspects the slab, works out the new load, such as a jacuzzi, water tank, gym equipment, planters or heavy machinery, and checks the slab, beams, columns and supports against it. If the slab is not enough, we design the strengthening and prepare stamped calculations for the approvals.
