Do I need DCD approval for a mall fit-out?
Yes. After the mall approval, every fit-out change needs Dubai Civil Defence approval and a final inspection.
The short answer
Yes. The mall approves the consultant-stamped drawings first, and the fit-out then needs Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) approval. Every commercial fit-out change, including partitions, ceilings and any decoration update, needs Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) approval, a DCD final inspection and a completion certificate before the unit opens. Some malls also need an authority permit before DCD, such as DDA at Dubai Hills Mall or Trakhees in Nakheel malls and Atlantis. Structural Solutions submits to DCD as consultant.
Need the stamp?
Upload your fit-out drawings and trade licence. We stamp them as consultant and initiate the mall, authority and DCD approvals on your behalf.
